COVID-19 IN SALON POLICY
We are committed to providing you the safest environment with the standard you have always expected at Village Hair. Due to government mandated restrictions, please note the following changes regarding our services and prices.
-We are only permitted to have 3 to 4 stylists at a time.
-We must maintain social distancing at all times.
-Please come alone to your appointment.
-Our team will be equipped with full PPE including medical grade gloves, masks, visors, sanitized station, disposable cutting capes for every client. Each station has been fully sanitized with a medical grade disinfectant.
-Due to limited staff and capacity, children's / teens haircuts will be charged adult prices.
-Due to limited amount of people allowed in salon, our guests will have to wait outside for their appointment where your stylist will come to get you. Once you come in, you will immediately sanitize your hands with the sanitizer provided and we will give you a mask to put on. No gloves from outside are permitted in salon. Your stylist will seat you at a disinfected station and given a disposable cape, used on only you and discarded. Please maintain social distance while inside salon and avoid touching retail products as well as any other stations other than than the one you are assigned to.
-There is a $10.00 PPE charge for all clients. We will happily wave this just as soon as we can.
-If you have been sick, been in contact with anyone sick, or travelled in the past 14 days, please advise us immediately. We will kindly ask you to reschedule 14 days from date of contact or a 14 full days of being symptom free.
We are sorry for the inconvenience and will lift these restrictions once the government permits. Keeping you and our team safe is our highest priority.
When it comes to styling and colour techniques, Cindy is a leading authority in the industry. Having worked in the business for the past 28 years, Cindy has acquired a comprehensive and thorough understanding of technical, artistic, and stylistic applications. After obtaining a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Toronto, Cindy joined her sister in opening their own salon: Village Hair Studio. Knowing that she had to prove her mettle, Cindy began behind the chair working as a stylist focusing on technical colour applications and precision cutting. As Cindy honed her techniques, she pursued post-degree education programs to elevate her skill sets. While working with her sister, Cindy developed an appreciation for colour application and eventual worked as an educator for some of the biggest colour product companies in the industry. In 2009 Cindy began competing at the National and International Level. Her 2009 Vintage Love collection scored a finalist for Canadian Editorial Hairstylist of the year, Contessa Awards, finalist for Ontario Stylist of the Year, Mirror awards. Her 2015 collection which shall remain unnamed landed her a coveted spot as a finalist for the North American Hairdresser of the year, Texture Stylist, and as a finalist for Canadian Hairdresser of the Year.
Cindy’s strong beliefs in professional growth influenced how Village Hair Studio approached continuing education for the salon’s team. Education is key and is a fundamental requirement according to Cindy; the salon is committed to it.
